Unpopular opinion, but I’m fine with this. I only buy games digitally these days because who has the patience to put in a disk these days. And I pirate cracked copies of PC games to ensure I have a copy forever.
That’s what you do and that’s fine, but if this becomes the norm then we lose our second hand discount market and the console companies will control the market and pricing completely.
Intentionally buying digital makes a lot of sense for games you might play on a whim.
But I’m going to be honest, if you’re playing through a full campaign, that’s just lazy. If I’m going to be playing a game for the next couple weeks or month, putting a disc in affects me negligibly.

I don’t want to see that happen
Last time I checked most games were cheaper when bought physically in comparison to digitally.

Nah, it’s easy to put games on an external hard drive and keep them there for future use. Takes up a lot less shelf space, too.
Losing the second hand market hurts though. But there also haven’t been any box PC games in at least a decade.
You pirate pc games that /have/ been cracked.
I agree but oof is that going to be an unpopular opinion lol
