The game's huge marketing budget has worked out for it, bringing in $2 billion revenue in its first 10 months of release.

You definitely aren’t alone… maybe they should’ve spent even more money on marketing? Lol

I suspect you aren’t the target audience.

Most mobile game marketing is done with ads in other free-to-play mobile games. Unless you play those types of games regularly, you’re unlikely to come across it.

I don’t touch any game I can’t pay for in full once and be done. So I know I’m not the target audience.

Me neither. Kinda ironic that the first time is about an article about its marketing. Given that it is “Free” to Play and a mobile game I’ll continue to stay the fuck away from it though.

The Monopoly name is enough to do that for me.

Monopoly itself can be lots of fun.

    Mobile “games”…

We should find a new therm for apps that people pay to see some bs go on. They aren’t games.

So, this game is a cross between Monopoly and Go?

In all seriousness, I’m struggling to figure it out. I thought it might be an Ingress-style game which could be interesting for the Monopoly IP, but the Wikipedia page makes it clear that’s not the case, without being clear enough to understand what it is.
