Pretty much Title, I would like to know what Quote in question would be and what’s the Idea/Meaning you have of it
I know this might be difficult to grasp so giving my 2 Cents would be:
Charity is power. More charity is more power
From Parvos Granum, my interpretation kinda leans towards the value of Life, being pretty much invaluable (or prohibitely expensive) You cannot buy a Life, but trough Helping (Charity) you can be owed one.
I wouldnt set a Foot in this place for all the Ayatan in the System. You on the other hand
From Maroo, on her Weekly Ayatan Hunt Quest I get a sense that this phrase can be interpreted as a Critique to those willing to do “Anything” for Money. Basically negating to sell your Dignity.
“That which can be destroyed by the truth, should be.”
There’s so many things in society that this applies to, like the fact that social media algorithms are designed to make you addicted.
I empathically agree. In fact, just the other day I was thinking about this very thing: how so much if society, economy and, well, everything is build on lies. Bigger or smaller, but still lies.
90% of all advertising (and I’m being optimistic here) is lies. Colorful packages lie to us in stores and cashier’s smile fake smiles at us as we buy them. To get money to buy stuff, we lie on our resumes, responding to companies that lie in their job offers. Then we keep lying to our bosses during quarterly evaluations, and they lie back to us, promising that that raise will surely happen next time… Then we go back home and watch mostly lies on TV or read them online.
Ugh, wait, damn, I’m on a video game sub, apologies ;) Anyway, great quote!
It hit me so hard when I first heard Mathila said “You all want Happiness, but none of you wants to put in the work.” Don’t call me out like that…
I actually think the entirety of Duviri is meant to satirise the Orokin, and what they represent in the real world. The dragons are all fables meant to inculcate certain values, and Mathila’s overall theme (and what DE is critiquing) is the idea of “tough love”. Mathila is unempathetic and cruel. I wouldn’t put any stock in her words, or any of the “advice” Euleria gives.
I really like Cy’s quote that the opposite of a great truth, is another great truth
Operator, I’ve been thinking. I thought you’d want to know.
I always liked Teshin’s “Your weapons make music, and the enemy calls for a song.”
Teshin has a lot of bangers, my personal favourite of him:
If you coveted anything in this world, Drifter, I would hope you had the courage to go and win it for yourself
“We all lift together.”
We really all do.
Seconding Cy’s quote on truth. I’m sure if I spent more time with the Solari I’d have one or two from them I’d forward but sadly my PC really doesn’t like the open worlds so I’m not there enough to remember/have encountered really good ones.
When I go to gym, “We all lift together”
For the memes… I must.
Look at them, they come to this place when they know they are not pure. Tenno use the keys, but they are mere trespassers. Only I, Vor, know the true power of the Void. I was cut in half, destroyed, but through it’s Janus Key, the Void called to me. It brought me here and here I was reborn. We cannot blame these creatures, they are being led by a false prophet, an impostor who knows not the secrets of the Void. Behold the Tenno, come to scavenge and desecrate this sacred realm. My brothers, did I not tell of this day? Did I not prophesize this moment? Now, I will stop them. Now I am changed, reborn through the energy of the Janus Key. Forever bound to the Void. Let it be known, if the Tenno want true salvation, they will lay down their arms, and wait for the baptism of my Janus key. It is time. I will teach these trespassers the redemptive power of my Janus key. They will learn it’s simple truth. The Tenno are lost, and they will resist. But I, Vor, will cleanse this place of their impurity.
But more seriously I’ll think about it and edit later on.
I was absolutely expecting this AND Clem Grakata. Not dissapointed
“…there’s only one plot: Things are not what they seem.”
“Voicelog. To ease the separation from Cephalon Suda, I’ve started a friendly discourse with the ship cephalon. I genuinely think he likes me.”
Same, girl, same. I wake up every day missing Suda.
Not a quote I can stand for or such, but the entire spiel of Cephelon Jordas breaks my heart every time I hear it.
The desperation with the inability to control himself hits hard for me.
Also, “Is everything in Ordis?”
